Market for the Jetson’s?
This is one spacey looking market in France.
The 1950’s era market house in the fashionable seaside resort of Royan is meant to evoke a shell, actually.
Okay – I thought it looked more like a spaceship. I googled it, and the place is still in full sail and seems to be a real market not some tourist jip joint.
Hat’s off to the brave townsfolk that dared to be so modern when this wave of architecture was at its best.
And the lower picture is me kind of lost driving through the salad fields in Salinas a few years ago wondering about all that was around me.
